I know for me it's one of my favorites.

But the meaning behind it's actually very sweet.

The keyboardist for journey, Jonathan Cain, had recently moved to LA to try to break into

the music career, but he was starting to doubt himself.

So he called his dad and he said, Dad, should I just give up on this thing and come home?

It seems like I might be pushing it back to Chicago.

His dad said, no, no, don't come home.

Stick to your guns, don't stop believing.

I went, okay, so there you go.
