My name is Jack Collins, and I'll be your host as we walk through all of Wednesday's Champions League action.

And joining me across the water all the way from San Diego is Mr. Dean Jones.

Yeah, I'm good, mate.

Yeah, that was an interesting night of Champions League, wasn't it?

Some of the big guns were really given a run for their money, quite literally when you consider

the value of their squads.

So it was interesting.

I mean, it was probably a more chaotic night, I think, than Tuesday, if we look at the

two in parallel.

But equally, you'd say maybe the kind of big matchups didn't deliver in the same way

that they did yesterday with the Liverpool-R-Madrid game and the buy-n-PSG game. It felt pretty plain sailing for Manchester City as they beat Borussia Dortmund. Newcastle against athletic I was really excited about, but ended up as maybe not a damp squib, but a little bit in terms of how they were going. So we'll leave those till part two. But there were two upsets, I think we can say. Now, neither of them ended up being

wins or losses. They were both draws. But I think that if you'd said to Chelsea fans, you've got

Carabag away, they would have expected to win that game. And I imagine that Barcelona fans would

have expected to go to Bruges and beat Club Brugger at the same time. That's the part of the problem for both of them.

To an extent. Yeah. And look, these were two very different games. So we'll get onto them in

their kind of individuality, shall we say. And let's start in Belgium because Club Brugger 3,

Barcelona 3 was a cracker, right? Like a game for the ages. And to be honest,

three all doesn't really do it justice. This could have been about six all. So in this game,
