Hey guys, this is Denise Alcedo and welcome to the Busted Open podcast. To kick off the show,

I recap the champions clashing on SmackDown ahead of Crown Jewel next week. This is the busted

open podcast. We're going to go ahead and kick things off. Of course, with the main title picture,

which is going to basically bookend the Smackdown edition of last night with Cody Rhodes kicking

off Smackdown. But, you know, this got to the point very, very quick. It was Cody, who was

quickly interrupted by Paul Heeman, Braun Breaker, and Bronson Reed. So we know that kind of

the vision has sort of been beefing it. They have a lot of beef at the moment on Raw on Smackdown.

We know that they're heading it, heading into Crown Jewel. We are getting Cody Rhodes versus Seth Rawlins.

And it's one of the things that I've liked about Cody Rhodes and Seth Rawlins is that these two guys are no

strangers to each other. They know each other inside and out. I mean, Cody, Seth Rollins was

Cody Rhodes's big first feud when he jumped over from AW to WW. And the matches that kicked off his WWE run really, really did mark the start of something special and what would become the version of Cody Rhodes that we are seeing right now.

All of what he did with Seth Rollins was, you know,

the pathway to what we would eventually get to with Roman Reigns, with the rock,

with so much that came afterwards. And I feel like if it wasn't for a lot of what we saw,

you know, that moment in the hell in a cell when Cody Rhodes ripped off the coat

and his whole entire, you know, peck is purple. And everybody here right now, listening to me say that

instantly, instantly is taken back to a moment in time where they recall the exact reaction that they had when Cody Rhodes did that.

Everybody remembers that moment, that match, and along with everything that came before that

and after that surrounding Cody and Seth.

Right.

So it wasn't even that long ago, but we are resurfacing that. And I wasn't sure how I was

going to feel about it because, like I said, this isn't necessarily a fresh feud. This is not
