Alcohol, endless alcohol, has also been a distraction.

Tonight's a rare night when Miriams allowed to stay out late with the guys.

But she's under pretty strict orders to keep sober.

The guys head off to bed.

The camera swivel around to focus in as Miriam signals to Tom that he should stay behind.

Everyone had noticed there was a spark between them.

I think early on we could see that Miriam had gravitated towards Tom.

But it wasn't just that he was winning competitions and generally shaping up to be the front runner.

She was probably spending just a little bit more time with him.

They were holding their gaze a little bit longer.

He found more opportunities.

And by that point, I think Tom's confidence grew even more so because I think he knew he kind of had it in the bag.

Of course, there was £10,000 at stake.

But even Drill Sergeant Tanner, who was only on set during the day, could feel it.

I think Tom was smitten with Miriam.

And I would say the evidence produced shows that Miriam was smitten with Tom.

Tonight, on the patio, they're finally alone, except for the overnight TV crew watching from the gallery.
