Hey there, chameleon listeners. If you're hearing this, you hopefully recognize my voice.

I'm Josh Dean. Your host from the series that gave rise to this whole Camillion franchise,

the story of our hunt for the infamous Hollywood Con Queen.

When we started that thrilling adventure, back in the heat of the pandemic, I had no idea a chameleon would become something larger than its individual stories. A franchise that encompassed

all kinds of tales about frauds and impostors. A franchise that is now taking its next and boldest leap yet with our new

partners at Audiochuck. This November, Chameleon with me on the mic, goes weekly. Once a week,

I'll bring you a new story about someone or some people pretending to be something they aren't.

The story's like almost famous meets Catch Me if you can. It's hard not

to be like, wow, this is fucking crazy. I actually got a gun out of the gun safe because I figured

some meth heads going to come and kill me for this. The cops raid his apartment where they find

the gems he's been stealing from Harvard to pay Princeton back for defrauding them.

I'm combing the world for the most thrilling and surprising tales of frauds, impostors, and con artists.

In order to bring you a podcast that, I hope, captures the mix of mystery and excitement that defines the chameleon name.

No one knew he was, no one cared, no one was impressed that he was a member of FIFA's executive committee.

He was just this funny dude who rode around Center Park on his mobility scooter with a parrot perched on his shoulder.

If memory serves, the parrot was named Max and was considered a very ill-tempered animal

and people were scared of it.

It really does make me think

it's plausible

that they might have

murdered someone and hid the body on their property.
