All right. Let's start talking some patriotic characters here. Merr, what comes to mind when I say patriotic characters?

Lots of stars and stripes and, you know, big lantern-jawed grins and, you know, rough and ready men of action, ready to defend American ideals, and, you know, skies painted red, white, and blue, and John Philip Sousa playing in the background.

That's the first thing that comes to mind, but, of course, not all patriotic characters follow that mold.

Yeah, I mean, we're definitely sticking with, you know, American concept. Not characters just created in America, but the ones that are sort of built around the concept of America and USA. So if you're thinking we're going to be talking about like Captain Canuck and Captain Brayton and, no, that's not what we're doing. we're doing good old red, white, white, and blue, stars that drives, Tuk, Tute, Bomb, Bomb.

We do encourage any of our listeners out there who are of different nationalities, and we know there's a lot of you, to hit the forums after this and post your list of your top five favorite patriotic heroes of your country of origin, though. Cool. That'd be great. Top five Zimbabwe care. Is there such a thing? I don't know. It's a challenge. It's a challenge. Why'd you start us off, Merch, since you're talking. Okay. Because you're not in the studio normally, and we haven't heard you in the while. That's true. That's true. Okay. I went, I tried to pick some weird ones here because I know there aren't all that many to go around in this category. So for my number five, I went straight to Earth Sea in the DC universe and chose Yankee Poodle.

It's interesting. If you wanted to, you could read that as a commentary on how deeply

imbricated the media, even the trashy aspects of the media, have become with the American

scene, or you could just see it as a dog in the American flag.

Yeah, so she's a member of the zoo crew. She's the one with the red, white, and blue costume. She has a really cool visual about her. I mean, her body is white, and she's got the red and the blue in the costume. And her superpower is, she can fire, like, stars out of one of her hands, which repels all matter. Peter has called up a graphic on his screen there, straight out of who's who, I believe.
