and that means college football playoff rankings got released immediately after that.

We did not include that in the live show.

So it's going to sound a little wonky, a little discombobulated, but about an hour after our live show aired last night, I watched the playoff committee reveal their rankings.

All right, college football playoff rankings released 2.0 version. We're headed into week 12.

We got Georgia, Tennessee this Saturday. We got a lot of claims of SEC bias out there.

We'll do the rankings agree with that? Does the college football playoff committee agree with that? Apparently not because I'm looking at Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, and Indiana, all in the top five. And then Brigham Young, behind them for good measure. Now, it is very, very popular as these playoff rankings are released in weeks one and two and three to say,

don't worry, relax. Everything will work itself out. Well, everyone knows that. We're not idiots.

Having said that, it does matter where you're ranked. We have seen time and time again,

teams rank too low to climb, teams rank too high to really fall. So I'm paying attention to some of this right now. I'll tell you the first thing

that stands out to me is Georgia's got to win Saturday. Where is that Georgia's 12. Georgia is

ranked 12th, but because of the tie-ins and stuff, to playoff started today, Georgia would not be

in the playoff. And I think I've fielded a lot of questions from Georgia fans, because I'm from Georgia this weekend. They're saying, do we have to win against Tennessee Saturday? Could we still get in with a third loss? You know, because we've got the number one strength of schedule in the country. It looks like the answer is no. I guess anything can happen. But it looks to me, and this was already my hunch, but it looks to me like they're telling you, you better win. And then on the other hand, Tennessee, they got one loss right now. They're a nine and a half point dog. We're still questioning whether Nico is going to play or not. I wonder how far they fall. If they go down there and lose, they're sitting at seventh right now, if they go down there and lose, and that's their second loss, there are two losses on

the road, one of them's to Arkansas, one of them's to Georgia, they got a win over Alabama.

How far will they fall? Will they fall out? Will they fall to 10 or 11? I wonder how the committee's

going to treat Tennessee if that happens. Like I said, the Big Ten's got four of the top five here.

Now, that's not going to be the way that shakes out. Oregon plays Ohio State, presumably,

in the Big Ten championship game. If they don't, that means Indiana has sprung a big upset,
