How are you? Good evening, sir. It is good to be back with you, unfortunately, in the somber day with the college football season officially being over now, sir. Well, it's felt over for a while, and there's a lot of talk, man.

I was reading for the program Tony Basilio's blog talking about it today here in Fox Sports,

or here in Knoxville on his radio show, and he has a daily blog that I love checking out.

But he talked about, like, the calendar and it just being so much

later here in late January for the college world national championship game. And I mean,

I think there, I hope there's a growing sense that like this can't continue. And I've seen in other

places there, there, it's gaining steam that this is, uh, the, the calendar is out of whack again. Like we talk about the recruiting calendar and everything else, but the timing of this is uh the calendar's out of whack again like we talk about the recruiting calendar

and everything else but the timing of this is just you lost a lot of juice because this went on for

i mean we talked about this uh you and i a couple days ago like it's just two months basically

of playoff football and it's just a lot of it's not even games like there was just these big

layoffs and you have the army navy game that weekend we talked about that on this program and like what you got to do with that. But I think it's just it's just too long. Look, you lost a lot of steam when you dragged it out this long. Yeah, absolutely. I think, uh, and you have just, you have to think of the coaching carousel, too.

It's just like, you have to think of all these different moving parts.

Like, guys hitting the portal. It's like you're just all this time off and everything.

Like football should be a fall semester sport.

And at the very late at the very latest, it ending like january 7th or january 8th or

something like it's just ending the season on january 20th is just kind of crazy like i just

uh and you also like if you just think about just what that does to each team's roster and just the enthusiasm for the postseason

too. I think people are kind of burnt out because it's like so the season over, is season not over.

And now not to like change the topic, but I guess it's kind of part of the topic.
