Before we do anything else, I have to once again say how absolutely devastated and heartbroken I am by the loss of life, property, and trauma caused by the wildfires that are still burning

out of control here in Southern California.

I mean, it is horrific.

It's terrifying.

It looks like an actual war zone here.

I mean, again, I'm a Los Angeles native.

I've spent virtually my entire life here,

and I've never seen anything like this. Nothing even close to this. The wildfires that we're

accustomed to seeing are always terrifying, always. But the fact that they have worked their way

into the city and metropolitan areas is even more horrifying.

The Palisades fire is the most destructive fire in the history of Los Angeles.

And there are so many more fires and so many more areas affected as well.

And as I mentioned yesterday, there simply are no words.

There are no words to describe the loss of life, the loss of property, and how traumatic it is for so many in this region

right now. People who have lost absolutely everything, everything. What can you say to somebody

who has lost everything, who barely got out of their home

with the clothes on their back, and maybe a phone, and maybe a loved one and an animal?

There are no words. There are no words other than to say our thoughts are with every last one of you and all the courageous people that

continue to risk their lives on the front line doing whatever they can to save other lives

and property and somehow somehow some way try to get this thing under control so all of our thoughts

are with everybody who's been affected by these horrific
