0:23.8	We're here to talk about Eurozone reform.
0:26.3	The European Commission published its proposals to reform the Eurozone this week on Wednesday,
0:31.3	December the 6th.
0:32.4	What are your major takeaways from that, Agatha?
0:34.9	The European Commission is recognizing that the Eurozone is coming out of the woods.
0:39.0	The Eurozone economies are growing and unemployment is falling.
0:42.8	And the European Commission thinks that this is the past moment to push forward Eurozone reforms.
0:49.6	Of course, the election of a pro-European Emmanuel Macron has also injected some optimism about the Eurozone
0:57.0	reforms. And just to quote President Juncker, he thinks that there is no better time to fix
1:04.5	the roof than when the sun is shining. Well, in theory, that is a plausible argument, but I'm
1:10.2	afraid that the political reality in the
1:12.8	EU is different.
1:14.3	Member States have been reluctant to embark on the reform path in good times.
1:22.2	The reforms are usually conducted in bad times.
