But first, obviously a lot of news as usual this week, Leslie and Alexa. We have news from Amazon and Plus and we have news from

from Volvo in terms of LIDAR being standard on new XC90ss is that right Leslie?

Yeah that's right Pete the X-C-90 of course is a large crossover from Bobo and what they're going to be doing is they're going to be making these

LIDAR sensors from LUMINAR technologies.

A lot of our listeners are probably very familiar with LUMINAR, but they're going to be placing

these as standard equipment.

In other words, it's going to be built into the price of the vehicle.

And some people are saying this is a watershed moment for the industry to actually have these sensors built into the vehicle and they're going to be using the Iris

LIDAR which I know Pete you've written about and also Lumenar's Sentinel software

which is going to be integrated with software from Bobo.

So this is going to start on vehicles that are going to be built in South Carolina and go on sale

in 2022. So I would imagine we'll start to see a lot more LIDAR applications for vehicles.

And this is beyond self-driving cars. I mean, we're talking about LIDAR as a driver assist enabler,
