Hey everybody, we're off an hour here and today we're gonna be talking about some new

comments made by Stellantis's CEO that I think somewhat unwittingly demonstrate why Tesla

has such a significant advantage in electric vehicles.

If Stellantis doesn't sound familiar remember that is the merger between Fiat Chrysler and

PSA Group.

Then in terms of Tesla specifically, we do have a report on production out of Shanghai

that we'll take a look at.

Then we've got an update from Andre Carpathi, Tesla's director of artificial intelligence,

a lawsuit against Tesla and a couple other items.

Looking at the markets today, Tesla following the path of the broader market, which was

up in the morning, down in the afternoon, Tesla finishing down 4.35% to $1,095 per share

even, and as decked today after starting in the green, finishing down 1.8%.

So Tesla underperforming but a tougher day across the board, and this seemed to be due to

the first reported case of the Omicron COVID variant within the United States.

So this has been reported now in a number of different countries and people just kind

of assuming at this point, at least, should be assuming at this point that this geographically

has been fairly widespread.

My perception at least was that this already seemed likely, so it seemed like something

that maybe should have been priced in already, but I guess maybe not because this definitely

seemed to hurt the markets today.

Other than that, I think we're all kind of just waiting for more information, more data

from this variant, and until we have that, I'll probably withhold from commenting too

...
