Were there any conversations after this trade with Marcus Smart?

I know when you bring in someone of Malcolm's caliber, it could be perceived as a threat

to the current starting point guard.

I know that Malcolm, you've spoken a lot about embracing a six-man

role and that's going to be the role, but what was the process of letting smart know about this

move and what the roles were going to be? Yeah, from my standpoint, it's what I just said, John,

like everybody knows, you know, what the is, and everybody knows that in order to achieve

that, we have become deep, flexible, be able to play a lot of different ways. And every single

guy that I talked to, and I talked to all of those guys, and Marcus included within, you know,

an hour of the trade trade they're all jacked

they're all excited they're ready to roll i know malcolm you and marcus go back a little bit or

have a connection somehow but this is about this is about winning and i think you know one of the

things about marcus's tenure as a celtic it's been defined by winning in the playoffs every year.

And we all know that to stay the same, as Malcolm said, everybody else in the league is trying to get better.

And everybody else in the league is you're making your run, is reading about you making your run.
