Hello and welcome to tea time. This is a weekly pop culture podcast on the

ringer Podcast network.

I'm Kate Outwell.

And I'm Amelia Weddemeyer.

So last week we did not record a show.

We decided to take the week off and see the space and listen and read, educate ourselves,

donate, and just in general, do what we could to support the Black Lives Matter movement happening in our country right now.

And obviously the work to dismantle the systemic racism in our country is not over, shouldn't be over until we see real and

actionable change.

That being said, we know we have a light-hearted podcast.

Hopefully, Tea Time allows you to tune in once a week, unplug your brain,

listen to Celebrity Fluff for a while, but that doesn't mean that we can't or shouldn't

do our part in improving the content that we put out.

And we have a commitment to making this podcast the very best that it can be.

So earlier this week, the Tea Time crew met and talked about tangible changes we can make to the show

to commit to being better allies including expanding our bubble of thought and

news and research and in general just expanding the scope of our

coverage beyond just making fun of Pete Davidson every week which there's a time

in place but we know that we can do better.

Yeah so you know please going forward continue to educate yourselves on what you can do for the Black Lives

Matter movement and to dismantle you know the white supremacy that exists and pervades in this society and we will do the same.
