I mean, your mother's pronunciation of words was...

My mother had a whole range of pronunciations of words which were completely wrong.

And she'd say, you know, I met somebody the other day who said, you know, the great pronunciation is morph, not mauve.

And I said, well, who is this person?

And then there was somebody else who said, oh, we might be going to see some people

people playing goff. I said, I know what? She said, goff. I mean, goff is what people, you know,

very smart people call it. Call what? Golf. They call it goff. I thought this woman is insane. I mean, your mother was obsessed with

posh people. She had a very special phrase for people who were posh, didn't she? She called them

Allah Khartes. They're very al-a-a-kart. And I thought, what does that mean very al-a-lacart?
