So one of my favorite traditions is every single year, Justin and I get together to watch

the MTV VMAs.

Yes.

Traditionally, the MTV VMAs are messy, dare I say.

They used to be fun.

They used to be like when you think VMA is like iconic VMA moments, it'd be like the Britney Spears, Madonna, kiss on stage. Everybody forgets Christine. The M&M, Christina Gallera, beef. Yeah, that Miley was good. That was at the MTV VMAs. Kanye interrupting Taylor. That was at the VMAs. But in more recent years, they had been more tame. This year, I feel like there was no, like, jaw-dropping moments, things of the sort, but I really enjoyed the performances. The performances were. They were good. Fire. They had to tailor it a little bit or tame it down a little bit because of the CBS broadcast too.

Oh, yeah, yeah, forgot about that. We didn't even get a monologue from, like, L.O. Coolidge has basically teased the whole show. Does he ever do a real big guy? No. No, he's never done it. He's not a comedian. I don't expect him to. He also just kind of went out there at the beginning of the show and then we never saw him again. Yeah.

He gave Buster Rhymes his reward.

Oh, yeah.

That's true.

I like Buster's performance.

That was pretty cool yeah um so it kicked off

with kney g on the saxophone um he was part of doja cat's performance who opened the show pretty great opening

i thought um there was a tribute to ozzie osborne which was done by Youngblood and Stephen Tyler.

Youngblood's photos were everywhere on the internet.

Of course.

They were just like, look at this guy, shirtless, leather pants.

Yeah, Youngbloods, like, ticket prices for his tour have skyrocketed.

His voice is really cool.

Yeah.

He dated Halsey for a minute, did he not? Yes. He's had an interesting dating history. Yeah. And then Lady Gaga at the very beginning of the show was there to accept artist of the year, which at first I was like, why are they doing this as the very first award? She accepted the award. And then she was like, okay, got to go to Madison Square Garden because she had a show that same night at Madison Square Garden. So then later on in the show, they like live broadcasted from her show in Madison Square Garden. Was it pre-recorded? Was it actually like a live broadcast? I don't know. I think it was live. Like live live? I hope so, yes. I like to think so.
