Now let's go ahead and catch you up with what happened over the weekend in Celebrity Land. Kelly and Anna, what you got for us? Well, did anybody go to the movies over Memorial Day weekend? I did. What did you see?

I wanted to go see Obsession. So good. That's what I was going to go see. Yes, you're going to love it. You and Cason are going to love it. I know you and Cason like scary movies. That one's getting really good word of mouth. It is. And all over social media, too, it was made on a million dollar budget, and it's expected to gross over a hundred million. Wow. And remember last week, we did have some Kid Nation members that wrote it and said they walked out of it. And that made me want to go see it more for some reason. Was it because it was too gross or because they were bored? That's there's a difference. I think one of them said it wasn't good and we walked out.

And then everybody else is saying it was great. But I don't know. The premise looks good. I loved it. Yeah. So it's about a guy who has a crush on this girl and he's too afraid to ask her out. So he gets wishing Willow from like a crystal store and he wishes that she'd fall in love with him.

watched it my friends and I were all asking each other what would you wish for yeah I. I said I would wish to be Avatar the last Airbender, or the master of all four elements. That's what you would wish for. That's a lot of power. I just want to end the director who made this movie, he's like only 26 years old. Wow. He's a young director. That's really, really awesome. Oh, yeah, for sure. And it's session six, an eight, and ten. They're going to run it in the ground. He proposed the idea of turning it into a series. And everyone, like, so every episode is you make a wish and it all goes. Oh, that's a cool. It all goes to crash. friend of the dark? And like black mirror, Audrey, other directors can get involved and put their own spin on it. Yeah. That's cool. It is fair black mirror there. You could do a lot with that. Um, well, yeah, obsession. That one I think came in, it brought in another 30 million this weekend. It was second this weekend. weekend. It was amazing. I can't. Yeah. I want to go see it again. And like you said, it's just going to continue to get more and more successful. But taking the number one spot, no surprise, the Mandalorian and Grogu. That came in at number one with $100 million. But in the perspective of the Star Wars franchise, that's actually the worst debut weekend for a Star Wars movie. Oh, man. Which, I mean. 100 million million is the worst. But you're going up against the, I mean, your own franchise. It's like insanely successful. Well, since Disney took over, it's just been, I don't know, purists have a problem with it. Did Alan go see it? No, because Dylan, we're, you know, a divorced family. And so we're waiting to see it with Dylan. We promised him we'd wait and see it with him. So we'll get him the next time we get him. We'll go see it. Yeah. Well, I'd be interested to hear their thoughts. Yeah. On it. But yeah, that took the number one spot. And then obsession. Michael, the biopic is still, it picked up another 27 million over the weekend. in there. Yeah, it's getting close to the $800 million mark.

It now holds the record for the second highest grossing music biopic of all time right behind Bohemian Rhapsody,

which that one kept out at $902.6 million.

Yeah, Michael will probably pass it because it still hasn't opened in Japan or has it opened there yet.

I don't know, but it's going to do really well there.

And then after that was the devil wears Prada and the sheep detectives.

But then next weekend, they're saying obsession might face some more competition with another horror movie backrooms.

That one's also getting a lot of talk because it's based on like the internet like deep dive of the whole backroom's way.

I've seen previews for that.

It's creepy.
