0:25.1	Happy Palm Sunday, everyone. This is Pastor Erwin. I want to welcome you to Mosaic. What a great day
0:33.9	to be alive and to be reminded of the extraordinary gift that God has given us in His Son, Jesus.
0:40.3	You know, one of the curious things about Palm Sunday is that the whole dynamic of Palm Sunday is
0:46.2	about triumph. It's about conquests. It's about celebration. It's about festival. And it almost feels
0:52.6	of Palm Sunday should come after Easter, not before a good Friday. Even the way John describes it,
1:00.8	what you have is this intersection of the Passover celebration, and they really had no idea that
1:06.6	that God had established in history this moment of celebration that would be layered over the
1:13.7	sacrifice of Jesus. They were celebrating a victory. They did not understand what was about to take
1:21.5	place. In John chapter 12, beginning in verse 12, John tells us this. He says, the next day,
1:26.7	the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.
1:31.3	They took Palm branches and went out to meet him shouting, Huzanna, bless this, he who comes in
1:36.3	the name of the Lord, bless this, the King of Israel. Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it.
1:42.4	As it is written, do not be afraid, daughters, Ion. See your king is coming seated on a donkey's
1:48.1	cult. At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified,
1:54.8	did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done
1:59.3	to him. Now the crowd that was with him, what he called Lazarus from the tomb, and raised him from
2:05.9	the dead, continued to spread the word. Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this
2:11.5	sign when out to meet him. So the Pharisees said to one another, see this is getting us nowhere.
2:19.2	Look how the whole world has gone after him. Now when we start at the beginning here at
