Please be assured all ad blocks have been applied to ensure no over 18 or inappropriate ads are played.

However, there may be the odd occasion where an advert slips through the net because the company submitting them submits them under a category that is not correct. This happens very rarely and I do my upmost to stop this happening.

Hey everyone and welcome back to Short Stories for Kids, the Magical

0:06.8

Podcast of Story Adventures. And before today's story we have a special shout out to give to Grace from Melbourne, Australia.

0:22.0

She has just become a premium member. So welcome Grace,

0:26.1

and we hope you enjoy today's story. For homework, Lydia had been asked to write a report for Women's History Month. She could pick any woman from any nation from any time

0:46.2

and then write about her achievements. For Lydia this was exciting stuff. There were lots of people that she found inspiring, both male and female.

1:20.0

Lydia tried looking up some of them on the internet. Maybe she'd read something that made one woman really stand out as the one that she would focus on.

1:52.0

Oh, this is no good, said Lydia sounding frustrated.

1:56.0

It would be much easier if I could actually talk to them,

2:00.0

rather than read about them.

2:02.0

It's much easier to get to know someone when you talk to them face to face.

2:07.0

But the women Lydia had picked were all from history, having died a long, long time before she was born.

2:15.0

Talking to them was of course impossible.

2:18.0

Or was it?

2:20.0

If there is one thing that all these famous women have taught me, it's that women can do just about anything if they put their minds to it, she said.
