international women's day we're looking for light in the darkness. While rights may

be under fire in places like Iran, Afghanistan, even here

in the United States and of course across the world, women are not giving up their fight

for equality, particularly in Ukraine, where Russia's war could also determine the future

of democracy itself.

Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin today handed out medals to war in fact, to females he called heroes.

While President Valodemir Zelensky marked the day by celebrating, quote, the strength and

freedom of Ukrainian women. I believe it is important today to thank women who work, teach, study, save, treat, fight for Ukraine.

To remember and thank all women who gave their lives for the country.
