an Afro-Portur-Portur-Bamba dancer and cultural manager. She usually holds classes on Saturdays for about $20.

But what exactly is Bomba?

Bomba is the traditional Afro-Pyrurican dance

that has been around for over 400 years.

It was created by enslaved

who was Africans who worked in sugar plantations along the coast of Puerto Rico.
