ran from Saturday, October 18th to Wednesday, October 22nd.

The holiday has five days.

Dantaris, Naraka Chattu Darshi, Diwali, Govarden Pujia, and Baidouge. Each of the days is celebrated differently.

Day one, people clean their homes to bring good fortune. Day two, time to decorate your homes

with clay lamps and design patterns know as Rangoli on the floor, D3, the main day of

the festival, is when families gather in prayer and end the day with big meals and fireworks. Day

four, the first day of the new year and day five, brothers visit their married sisters who

welcome them with love and a hearty meal. Diwali is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year,

and it's evolved into a national festival enjoyed by non-Hindu communities too.
