three copies of their 21st chromosome. Let's back up and talk about what that means.

Chromosomes are tiny threads that house our genetic information. They're in every cell of your

body, and they carry the instructions for how to make you. Most of the time, chromosomes come in pairs,

so people have two copies of each of our 23 chromosomes.
