President Trump announced on truth social late Monday that Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire deal.

Reporter Michael Wilner says the conflict will be a centerpiece issue at the NATO summit this week in the Netherlands, where President Trump is arriving today.

The world is watching closely to see how relations with both countries develop.

European leaders are walking a tight rope, praising the U.S. strikes while also urging restraint.

Iran responded with a missile attack on a U.S. base in Qatar, but gave advance warning to avoid casualties,

which suggests they might be looking to reduce conflict escalation.

Trump called the response very weak and hoped for this to be the end, now that Iran is done, quote, getting it all out of their system.

But questions still remain about how much of Iran's nuclear program was actually destroyed

and whether diplomacy can be restored.

For two weeks in June, protesters across L.A. rallied against immigration raids, which caused

pushback from the LAPD and implemented a downtown curfew.

LA Times reporters found that many protesters felt the police were too quick to use force,

with officers firing non-lethal

weapons like tear gas into the crowds. Police said they used force only after officers

were hit with bottles, fireworks, and other objects, prompting the county to charge several

people with assault.

LAPD's chief has promised a full review, calling it a chaotic and fast-moving situation.

City leaders urged caution, while some officers pushed back, the city is now facing a series of lawsuits as a result of LAPD's use of force.
