0:23.7	talking about the Tuskegee experiments.
0:26.9	It's apparently, or it was, I guess yesterday,
0:29.4	the 50th anniversary of the ending of the Tuskegee experiments, which they only ended
0:36.4	when a whistleblower revealed to the public
0:40.1	what they were actually doing. the atrocities that the CDC was committing on those
0:46.2	unknowing subjects that's why it ended it could very well still be going on today
0:50.4	had a whistleblower not expose them.
0:53.7	So they're celebrating being exposed 50 years ago by a whistleblower.
0:58.1	And I'm going to put the tweet up on screen here.
1:01.0	It's from the official CDC director account and the director is Rochelle Wollinsky.
1:06.5	Okay you see it up on screen there. She tweeted out this year marks the 50th anniversary of the end of the Tuskegee syphilis study.
1:17.0	Tomorrow I will be joined by colleagues and hashtag public health leaders as we honor the 623 African American men their
1:26.2	suffering and sacrifice and our commitment to ethical research and practice.
