DHS told the public that new cadets receive all the training they need to perform their duties.

The no critical material or standards have been cut.

This is a lie.

ICE made the program shorter, and they removed so many essential parts that what remains is a dangerous husk.

No reasonable person would believe a training program suddenly cut nearly in half could meet the minimum legal requirements.

I am so damn tired of being lied to.

Hello, my friend, and thank you for listening to the 334th episode of Congressional Dish.

I'm your host, Jennifer Bryny.

And today's episode is once again going to be about immigration and customs enforcement because that agency appears to be somewhat out of control. The reason we know this

is because there was a shadow hearing that was held on February 23, 26 by Democrats from both the

Senate and the House. Now, these so-called shadow hearings are not

official hearings. They don't appear in the congressional record, and they're kind of like,

if you know, you know, situations. But the shadow hearings are necessary right now because the

Republicans, who control both sides of Congress at the moment, are refusing to do any kind of

real oversight of the Trump administration.

And so ironically, the only real hearings that are taking place right now in Congress are the

fake hearings. And in this shadow hearing, the testimony that served as the catalyst for this

episode, in this testimony, you're going to hear from a guy who was training ICE officers until

he resigned in order to testify to Congress because he was so horrified by what he saw and did.
