with special guest comedian and therapist Matt Marr. Now I met Matt earlier this year when I appeared on his advice podcast called Dear Maddie.

Although in our episode of his show we didn't really give advice about anything.

We really just shot the shit and became friends in his living room and into

microphones and I put a link to that episode and his main podcast page in this

episode's show notes but I instantly fell in love with Matt and I was so happy to see him again

at both Podcast movement and LA Podfest. He's just one of those people that makes every

event ten times more fun just by being there. And so a few days after LA Podfest, he graciously agreed to come on my show

and help me with a new format that I've been working on for some congressional dish episodes.

Because for five years now, I've done this podcast largely by myself,

and it's been great.

And I'll still be doing that a lot.

But it's more fun discussing the bills in particular

with other people because other people have different experiences and are from

different places and have different viewpoints and other people often see and

hear things in a different way than I do and I just feel like I always learn more when I look at this stuff with others and you'll hear that it happened a few times in this episode when Matt thought of something that had never occurred to me.
