Hi, my name is Jennifer Briny and I just want to let you know that I recently found out that the country of origin labels on our beef,

chicken, and pork products are in danger of being repealed.

HR 2393, as you may know, has passed the House of Representatives which fully repealed it and

doesn't even allow a voluntary labeling program.

And then there's also F-84, which is in some committee, and also repeals the country of origin labeling but then also

creates a voluntary program.

So the thing is though that this is all because world trade organization says that our labels are

internationally illegal which is you know a little crazy because if there is some

kind of you know let's say there's

something in Mexico in like mad cow or whatever and I don't want to have

Mexican beef but I want to eat beef for dinner well then I'd like to know where my meat is coming from.

So I'm one of these people that actually uses the label.

I would like the label to remain.

And so as H.R. 293 makes this way through the House, I'd really like to see Senator Boxer stand up for it and vote down any repeal.
