Hey there guys, welcome to the 57th episode of Congressional dish.

I'm your host Jennifer Briny.

And for those of you who have never heard this show before,

I'm reading all the bills that pass the House of Representatives and letting you know what's in them.

So a lot of you might be tuning into this episode to hear about the budget deal that was worked out between the Republicans and the Democrats.

That deal has passed the House of Representatives,

and then the House of Representatives is done for the year.

So we're not going to see the House anymore.

The Senate still has another week.

So even though the budget deal has passed the House, it hasn't yet passed the Senate, but that's not that big of a deal because they still are staying in work

in this following week. So I do expect that to pass, but quite frankly I

don't know what's in it. And you know those of you who heard last week's

episode know that my husband recently lost his job in the way that we're

dealing with this in order to keep this podcast going is we're re-renting our

apartment so that we don't have to pay rent and with his unemployment payments plus

no rent we can afford to you know keep living and I

can afford to keep doing this podcast so that's what we're doing and that's what I
