For those of you who are new to this show, I read all the bills that passed the House of Representatives and I let you know what's in them.

This week should have been a busy week. See

September 30th is a big deadline. It's the deadline for our Congress to fund the

entire government. This is actually their entire job and you can probably tell by my irritation that clearly didn't happen this week

So this is how this is supposed to go government funding the details of how the government's going to be funded is worked out by the House Appropriations Committee.

There are 12 subcommittees and each of those subcommittees covers a different topic.

Each subcommittee is supposed to come up with a funding bill that gets passed by the whole appropriations committee.

Those 12 different bills then go to the House floor and get voted on by all our representatives.

These bills then go to the Senate where the Senate can either approve them or edit them.

If the Senate approves them, they go to the President's desk to be signed.
