Summary

In Part 2 of #JusticeforBeth, we return to the early morning hours of February 13, 2023. Beth Buchanan was en route to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport with her mother, Julie, who had a flight to catch back to California after a weekend in Athens. But, something would go terribly wrong.

A driver on the wrong side of the road would collide with the Buchanan's, taking Beth's life instantly and seriously injuring her mother. Listen in as Julie recounts these harrowing moments, and as her family tells the story of how they came to know of the nightmare that was just beginning.

The collision was more than just a terrible accident. Instead, you'll learn that one driver's decision to get behind the wheel of a car would alter the Buchanan family forever. Hear from Lieutenant David Witte as he recounts the scene of the crash and the start of an investigation that would be filled with twists and turns...

1:08.0	this week as Tuesday, February 13th of 2024 marked one year
1:13.2	since Beth's unjust tragic death. Now if you've not had a chance to listen to part one,

1:24.6	and the content start to take a turn and things get a little more difficult.
1:30.4	We're going to look back together at the events that took Beth from us and the whirlwind of
1:35.4	setbacks that her family faced not only in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy, but still
1:41.4	to this day. We know that Beth and her mom spent the weekend of February 10th,
1:46.5	2023 exploring the classic city together.
1:50.0	They visited that Athens moon tree,
1:51.7	which I went to for the first time in Beth's honor this week.
1:54.7	They had brunch and dinner and even talked about Beth's bright future with her partner, Aza.
1:59.9	But in the early morning hours of
2:02.6	February 13th of 2023, Beth Buchanan in her Kia Soul was taking her dear mother back
2:09.5	to Hartsville Jackson International Airport so that she could fly back to California.
