It's the holiday season which means you may be around some people that push your buttons. One of the best ways to avoid getting too many buttons pushed is setting healthy boundaries.

But what exactly are healthy boundaries? When do we set them? And how do we do it in a way that is loving?

These are the questions I answer in today's episode.

Hi everybody, so we are headed into the holiday season and it's often the time where we

can see people that may be a little triggering for whatever reason.

Maybe these people are family members, maybe they're not, but you might notice that there

are just certain people that you need a couple more glasses of eggnog around and instead

of Odin on the eggnog were the one or whatever, I actually want you, arm you with boundaries

instead so that you don't have to deal with those annoying conversations and you don't

have to deal with that pit in your stomach and you don't have to go for that extra piece

of apple pie or glass of wine because you're just so annoyed by someone else.

So the key to having really healthy relationships, I guess I should say one of the keys because

there are lots of keys, not just one, but one of the keys to having healthy relationships

with ourselves and others is boundaries.

Yes everybody, boundaries of boundaries give us the ability to create and maintain those

healthy relationships and healthy relationships are essential to our well-being, even research

has shown that people who feel connected to others live longer and healthier lives, we have

to work on our relationships, we can't allow ourselves to be a doormat, we can't just pretend

we're okay with things when we're not.

So what exactly are healthy boundaries?

When do we set them and how do we do it in a way that is loving, especially if we can

relate to being a people-blazer and we don't want to upset anyone else?
