Welcome back to my Book of Mormon podcast. I'm your host, Marie Kent.

And I'm the co-ist, Bryce Blankett. I go, hello again, Marie. I'm so excited for today. I really am. Like, I'm, I'm so happy.

Is it because we're going to be talking about totally happy, easy topics today?

Yes, you sent an email with a whole bunch of information. One might call it

an onslaught of information. And I read through it. And I text you back and said, looks like we got a

lighthearted and fun episode ahead of us, don't we? What are we talking about, Marie? Oh, the Civil War.

Oh, okay. You know, the the Civil War. Oh, okay.

You know, the American Civil War.

That's a real easy topic, you guys.

Yeah, no, no problem.

It's all good.

Everything about this is going to be fantastic because, you guys, the roles are reversed.

As you all know, up until now, Bryce has been like, well, yeah, I study this

10 hours a day, and I have for the last four years. And he's the historian, and I just kind of show up

and just, you know, read and occasionally be interesting. And now, neither of us are community of Christ

historians. And we have jumped in the timeline to say, Civil War era, American Civil War, 1863, and I'm like, I need to read ahead. I need to do research. And so I have. And everyone, please remember that I am an amateur historian. As is Bryce, this is a, this is a thing we're doing together, and it's going to be great. I'm here for it.

And we're kind of just rolling with really limited information. So undoubtedly, if there are any,

you know, civil war historians who are going to listen to what we're going to discuss today,

they'll probably want to throw their phone through the nearest window.

And that's understandable because we're both very lay people trying to deal with a hotly
