Luigi Mangione is fighting extradition to New York on murder charges for the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

It was a stunning scene as the suspect had an outburst heading into court today, calling

his arrest an assault and an insult to the American people.

CBS News has new details tonight on that three-page handwritten letter or manifesto he had on him when he was arrested at a McDonald's in Altoona. In it, he refers to, quote, parasites, plural, who, quote, simply had a coming.

Police say he viewed the attack as heroic and a symbolic takedown of a health care system he sees as corrupt.
