We want to begin tonight with news about the man President-elect Trump wants to lead the Justice Department as the chief law enforcement officer

of the United States. Tonight a lawyer for two women tells CBS News that Matt Gates paid them to have

sex with him and that one of his clients says she witnessed Gates having sex with a minor at a Florida

House party in

2017. Gates abruptly resigned from Congress last week after he was chosen by Trump to serve

as his attorney general. That resignation paused the release of a House ethics report on Gates.

Well, now those members of Congress are under pressure to make that report

public, and they're set to meet again this week. Now, this is unfolding as Trump's pick to serve
