22-year-old Tyler Robinson gave himself up last night after his father recognized him in photos released by the FBI.

Robinson, a college dropout, was a registered voter but with no party affiliation.

According to Utah's governor, Robinson had become more political recently and had expressed dislike for Kirk.

Tonight, he is being held on suspicion of aggravated murder.

His first court appearance and formal charges will come early next week.
