And I'm Katie, and I'm going to be learning Italian with all of you.

Now, Italian is actually a relatively straightforward language to learn.

That's right, Marc. In fact, did you know that Italian is the fourth most studied language in the world?

And for good reason, the rich Italian culture, the literature, the music, the third, the wine, the country.

There are so many good reasons to learn Italian.

And one of the things that we thought we would do today is look at some of the words that you already know

that are Italian words, and which will help you with your Italian pronunciation.

First of all, there's the word pizza.

Let's hear this inauthentic Italian pronunciation from Francesca.

Now, when we were repeating words here, what we tend to do is, I'll say the word, then Francesca will say it,

we leave you a space to the listeners, and then Katie will say it because ultimately she's learning along with all of you.
