Unfortunately this year,

the calves dropped their opener at Madison Square Garden. Joining me today is my co-host Carter Rodriguez.

Carter, how you doing, buddy? Oh, you know, not the most fun season opener. I'm a little disappointed.

But, you know, that's how it goes. You can't always start the year with the 15 game. I was expecting you to be excited. Normally you're excited when you have a body to autopsy. That's one of your go-to lines here, my friend. I know. Yeah, it was, I just didn't think they played a very good game, to be honest, even with the injuries. I just don't, I don't think, you know, I definitely saw some stuff that's concerning.

Definitely some stuff I expect to get better.

And then, you know, a few nuggets of things that are very exciting.

So, like, you know, I think there's plenty to talk about, but like, you know, you just

wanted to come out a little sharper than that.

Yeah.

And they certainly did not.

Yeah, it was funny.

I think it was between the third and fourth quarter when they were talking about on the broadcast, what Kenny Atkinson said, said they could do better.

Actually, that might have been coming in out of the halftime.

And, you know, I thought it was spot on that the team needed to be sharper. They weren't getting very good

looks. You know, people, I've seen people talk about the free throw discrepancy. And the

calves in the first half, they only got eight shots in the interior. Like, they were not driving

to the basket. They were not earning any of those attempts, right?

Like, you're not obligated to have that free throw marker be even.

That's not the way that, you know, games work and how officiating works.

And I really did feel like for a lot of this game, the cast were struggling to get quality looks and kind of settling for some of those
