Swamish Valley Golf Course. This is Golf Smarter Number 973. There was a story of Sam Sneed, and it's a week

0:16.8

before he's playing in his first PJ tour event. And it's in 1936.

0:39.5

He's at the Greenbrier. And the head pro organized a big match. It's going to be this rookie Sam Sneed. That's the big up-and-coming name. He's going to play against a former U.S. Open champion. He's going to play against two other U.S. amateur champions. As a result, word gets out. Massive crowd around the first tee. and Sam Sneed is last yearhood.

0:39.8

1:17.0

partners by 15 yards. And not only that, he has hit it about 10 yards further than all of his

1:22.5

most successful drives on that same hole. How does a guy go from a verge of a panic attack to then hitting his

1:28.8

best drive ever just moments later?
