Back to back major tournaments, if you look at this tournament and the last Olympics,

as true disappointments.

This one, perhaps, I mean, thinking back on the history of this of this team this is I think we've just

witnessed the most disappointing tournament they've ever had I think we've just witnessed the most

disappointing moment they've ever had. I think we've just witnessed the most disappointing moment they've ever had.

This was, you know, they've lost big games before. There's no question about that, but to do it in this fashion at this stage of a tournament,

I think this is is I think we're kind of waiting in some unchartered waters here with with the US women's national team on a morning like this this is this is feelings and stuff around this program that we haven't really felt or seen before.

Yes, and to quote Peep Show as we regularly do on the podcast, we are staring into the abyss. We have moved to the abyss. We are having our mail forwarded to the abyss. This is not usual. I listen to Vlaco Adenovsky, the US Women's National Team Manager after the game and he spoke about the pride and the determination and the grit and how proud he was of his team and those are all things he's going to have to say now.

But they matter not a jot.
