0:00.0	On November 12, 1982, a man stepped out into the alley behind his work.
0:12.7	It was a freezing Seattle night, but he had to cross the alley to deposit the garbage
0:17.0	in the dumpster outside.
0:18.4	Plus, taking the garbage out gave him a short break and some fresh air.
0:23.8	Unfortunately, he got more than a quick break on this particular trip to the dumpster.
0:29.9	In the alley, he came across a cardboard box that held what he first believed was a mannequin.
0:35.8	It wasn't that.
0:36.8	So he called the Seattle police and Sergeant Joe Sanford responded.
0:41.0	He said that he noticed in the trash box that he's seen a foot.
0:45.7	And I think as I remember, he thought it was a doll for a minute until he did a double

1:20.2	What had been mistaken for a mannequin or a doll was actually the body of a teenage girl,
