We are seeing this sort of resurgence in adult conversions to the Catholic faith.

People feel isolated and alone, and people are looking for a communal experience that they're lovable and that they're loved.

The church is a community. And they say, wow, here's a Catholicism that I didn't even know existed.

You also have this phenomenon since the 1960s of a sort of bleeding out as well. We're running

on the fumes of Christian culture up until just 20 or 30 years ago. We're going to have a much

smaller church, but a much more faithful church. So what finally pushed you over the edge? And he said,

okay, this is what God's calling me to do?

That experience of winning a prestigious scholarship and then going to Oxford University

showed me not only how restless my heart was, but also how fleeting the joys of this world are.

The Norbertunes in particular are taking on this challenge of the total fracturing of education.

People are grateful when we don't treat them like children, but when we treat them like adults who are worthy to hear the fullness of the truth. And you think, well, Catholics know that. Well,

do they?
