Yo, Parish Orphins and Retrogrades, this is the last show before the Christmas tide for me.

I hope you all had a wonderful Advent season.

It drew to a close two days ago.

And we're in the official Christmas season, even for the biggest LARPers out there,

the people that say you shouldn't get your Christmas tree or put up Christmas lights on your house until after the Fourth Advent Sunday.

To me, that's crazy. You know, we live in a culture. There's the culture of the church calendar, and then there's the culture of America church calendar and then there's the culture of of america late

2025 a d and we live in both so um right now we are by anyone's measure the larpers who don't put up

christmas decorations until yesterday i guess and everybody else in the catholic world who put up christmas decorations like the I guess, and everybody else in the Catholic world

who put up Christmas decorations like the day after Thanksgiving. We are in the full-on

Christmas season now. And this is the last show I'm going to do until maybe I'll do one or two

shows in between Christmas and New Year's. Who knows what will end up happening? But so this

is the last show before Christmas at any rate.

And I didn't want to do a big Christmas show because nobody watches those.

I'll say Merry Christmas to all of your families.

Tomorrow's Christmas Eve in some ways the most exciting day of the year.

especially your kids. Christmas Eve is such a magic time for the kiddos, the Rugrats,

and my kids are super, super excited. So I wasn't going to do a Christmas Eve show. What I thought

was a sort of fitting final penultimate show of the year would be analysis on the interview that Bishop Barron recently did with Amy Coney Barrett.

One, because there are a couple of Catholics talking about jurisprudence and philosophy of law.

Two, because she's a female jurist.

Three, because I've talked about this female jurist, rather extensively.
