Man, I'm getting old. I'll tell you how old I'm getting, and this is not a good sign. And I realize I'm 49. I realize there are people older than me. I realize this isn't the cutting off point.

But when I started this show, I was a young man, 34 years old when the Catholic Channel had launched.

And back in those days, when we did our show prep, so I wasn't here in Minnesota in my home studio, but I was in our New York City headquarters, right in Midtown Manhattan there.

And the way it used to work would be I would type up page after page of show notes, print them out, and then

we'd walk to the studio, and I'd have a good 15 or 20 pages of notes for, let's be fair,

a mediocre show at best.

Like the show didn't necessarily reflect 15 pages of notes.

It reflected more like 15 seconds of thought, but that's the way it was.
