At a New Orleans, the Archdiocese there has released a paper.

It says New Orleans Archdiocese asks Catholics to avoid Johnson and Johnson COVID vaccine.

So they released a statement regarding the shot on February 26th, when the authorization

happened.

And there's two quotes here.

I'm going to read both of those because there's a point to this.

It says, the Archdiocese of New Orleans in light of guidance from the Vatican, the United

States Conference of Catholic Bishops and the National Catholic Bioethics Center, affirm

that though there was some lab testing that utilized the abortion derived cell line, the

two vaccines currently available from Pfizer and Moderna do not rely on cell lines from

abortions in the manufacturing process and therefore can be morally acceptable for Catholics

as the connection to abortion is extremely remote.

Now, they didn't say zero.

So it says continues, it is under the same guidance from all those organizations that

the Archdiocese must instruct Catholics that the latest vaccine from Johnson and Johnson

is morally compromised and it uses the abortion derived cell line in development and production

of the vaccine as well as testing.

So what we have here is Pfizer Moderna used a cell line called HEK293, but that was just

in the confirmation phases and the early phases.

Now we have this.
