Summary
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham is back in the studio with Mississippi State transfer cornerback DeCarlos Nicholson joining the show. During the last two years in Starkville Nicholson appeared in 25 games with 7 starts and recorded 47 tackles, including 4 for loss and 3 pass breakups. He transferred to USC in December and participated in spring practice including an impressive performance in the spring game with a tackle, a pass breakup and the first of four interceptions for the Trojan secondary.
Ryan chats with Nicholson about his decision to come out to Los Angeles from Mississippi and bringing his two-year old son, working with secondary coach Doug Belk, his progress in D'Anton Lynn's system during spring football, how his summer workouts have gone so far and lots more.
The interview with Nicholson was conducted in conjunction with House of Victory, an alumni-backed nonprofit collective dedicated to providing a competitive edge in the NIL space for University of Southern California student-athletes.
