Hello, welcome to the naked scientists with me, Chris Smith, and with Helen Scales.

Hi Helen.

Now coming up in this week's program we'll be hearing how scientists can use your own

cells now as Trojan horses to sneak chemicals into the bloodstream

and that's to improve the results of body scans in future. We'll also be

finding out where HIV came from and when it came on the scene and that's because

scientists have found a fossil version of the virus locked

away in Africa more coming up on that shortly and also the beetle that makes its own

antibiotics to control fungus growth that's all coming up Helen.

Thanks Chris also this week we're taking a look at new ways to treat and prevent cancer.

We'll be hearing how doctors have found a way to reprogram the immune system to destroy skin

cancers and about a new way to scan patients to pick up tumors when they're still

really tiny and we'll also be getting an update on the vaccine that's recently been launched
