I'm honored to be here thanks for having me on book alright running for congress the good the bad the ugly what you learn what are people need to know how was the whole thing.

And where do I start i'll first say this that clearly the outcome.

For I think all across the board I was really shocking for most people I think we did make some important games but there are a lot of concerns in some very winnable districts.

I as to why we didn't win and I think in order for us to really move forward we need to take like a post mortem of what happened in 2022 and kind of reevaluate what our party our values what we want to be moving forward.

If we ever want to win.

In really winnable seats again you know we I was in a purple district a lot of my candidate friends were in purple district some in red leaning states and it just doesn't really add up and so I think you know we all kind of need to reevaluate what's going on that's so much deeper than just.

You know what the media wants the sound bites or the social issues I think there's a much greater.

Organizational problem within the republican party that needs to be solved and I'm actually you know super disappointed Illinois as a whole the Wall Street journal.

Roe in a piece saying that democracy died in Illinois and they don't want to happen within the rest of the country in terms of the tactics that they used.

To win in Illinois with the democrats used and so unfortunately I don't see the state turning red or even purple anytime soon and.

We have to kind of look deeper into what's going on in our elections so you got to tell us then give us some specifics what what what is that mean and when they say democracy died in Illinois how what are they what's the other side doing how are they playing dirty what are they what are they up to.

Well first of all I think in Illinois in Chicago as a whole you know vote early vote often and the windy city are just like terms that you learn when you're born here in Illinois so there's always some sort of kind of.

Trickery always happening from the left but my concern is more broader than that I think they governor Pritzker put in.

Multi millions of dollars into a very organized well thought out mail in ballot program and so I've heard from multiple you know families and supporters and residents like people were getting ballots of people who had.

You know this were picked deceased or people who had lived there in the past and just the organizational efforts on top of that to collect the ballots on the democrat side whether there was fraud involved is just on a completely different level that republicans just.

Could never compete with.

And so we need a focus on changing you know we can't change the culture a lot of every time I speak to most Republicans and I'm this way to they want to vote in person they don't want to go and just.

Give somebody their ballot or.

Do things that way but unfortunately like the democrats are so heavily organized you know when you have 30,000 mail in ballots dumping at 10 p.m. calling every single race.

And all of them for democrats you have to start asking questions and then not only that start wondering how you can even compete with something like that.
