Hello friends, and welcome to Sleep Tide Stories.

I'd like to begin by saying hello to some friends.

Hello to Mafalda, who is eight, and Carolina, who is five, listening in Spain.

Hello to Evelyn, who is six, almost seven, and brand, who is four, in Menden, Illinois.

Thank you so much for supporting us.

I would also like to say happy birthday to Nathan, who is turning eight years old today.

We are continuing this week with chapter five of Cat City.

Remember, at the end of last chapter, Susan was going to see what the council had decided to do with her.

She was taken from Tucker's house and got to see Cat City for the first time in its underground valley.

She was unable to speak or even think.

Susan is so overwhelmed by the beauty of Cat City that she hardly notices the four guards that are surrounding her as they walk her to the center of the city.

She is fascinated by everything she sees and asks some questions to learn more.

Until Cynthia, Tucker's mother says, no more questions.

Cat City, chapter five.

Susan stumbled often as she followed her cat guards and Tucker's family down the long winding street to the center of the city.

She was hardly aware of the four large cats surrounding her.

Guards sent by the council to keep her in line.

They were waiting for her at Tucker's front door, but they didn't have bothered.

The beauty and wonder of Cat City kept her so enthralled most of the way that the thought of escaping never really crossed her mind.

The first thing she noticed was the architecture, not that she knew anything about that kind of stuff.

No, it was more the fact that everything was built human-sized.

From the houses, to the sidewalks and benches, to the sculptures and artwork scattered throughout her route to center square.
