Enough hours in the day to get to everything that we want to get to right about now now that football has returned.

It is an exciting time for all of us obviously and hopefully one that sees the team come out and play really well.

You know, it's funny I was during the break. Go back through and try to make sure I didn't gloss over anything that I needed to touch on from the chat.

You know, it's not going to dictate the direction of the show but I always like to look.

And it's something I asked you about a week ago, somebody brought up about, if you win the toss, it's so funny.

This is the stuff you do in week one. You're not going to ask that question in week three, week four, week five probably.

But we're so eager to do everything right to make sure that all of our ducks are in a row.

You answer all these little questions. That's something that happened over the weekend for Mike Norvel, which was that they do the mock game.

And I'll touch on that in a moment.

But do you take the ball if you win the toss or do you kick and you said you kick right off the bat?

I defer to the second half. That way I don't lose two possessions, but yes.

Yeah, absolutely.

There's a part of me that would really love to see them.

Whether it's because Notre Dame wins the toss or whatever, but get the ball and go down and score.

Because the point being made by somebody in the chat is they would be nice to play with the lead every once in a while.

And that defense rarely did.

And a lot of times that defense was put in a precarious position right off the bat to where it was a short field.

We saw a lot of short fields last year and that's maddening.

You can't really ever feel like you can breathe when you're up against it at all times.
